When EA states they're bringing games to where the gamers are, they clearly mean gamers who are going to purchase their games. Even Ubisoft, Nintendo's biggest supporter this gen, recently stated that Rayman Legends is no longer exclusive because lack of hardware sold and most Nintendo fans don't purchase third party titles.
Third parties want to make money and they'll go where the money is at. Whether Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo wins matters not.
EA atleast gave quite a bit of support to the Wii U and gained nothing from it. Better than most developers such as 2K, Namco Bandai, and Tecmo Koei, who released a couple launch titles and have since pulled development from Wii U. Better than Capcom who only developed an exclusive for the system because they got paid to do so, ported one another game. Better than Square Enix who was developing a game prior to the release of the console, a port of the Wii version.
EA happens to be the only publisher being attacked by Nintendo fans but the only publisher that has supported the Wii U more has been Ubisoft, and even they're talking bad about the console now.
