He didn't take away anything though. He just listed a different issue. Nintendo region locking doesn't affect me as much as Xbox 360 region locking did. Because Where I'm from games sometimes get banned and I have to import. Region locking limits my options. That doesn't happen on Nintendo platforms though, but I still need to import older games or games that never released here. Also, I know lots of people that can play games in Japanese.
