Now I finally know why the Gamepad and Wii U is so expensive. I always assumed it's a pretty barebones controller, although touchscreen, NFC and a couple of other features would drive up the costs into the $70-80 range. But there's quite a bit more inside of it. This is more insane than adding stereoscopic 3D to the 3DS.

The pad has a CPU? what for?
