6. A long time ago I remember an article saying that most people who pirate games are collage student (which usually don't have the money to pay for a full game), so in most cases I think is a lack of money rather than a decision.
7. No, for most games the actual sales are higher than illegal downloads (the only game I can remember that this isn't the case is Xenoblade, which the illegal downloads are higher than the sales on VGC).
