Well, I can understand why people would find MGS2 disappointing. After all, they changed the main character without previous mention or anything (The MGS2 demo in Zone of Enders only showed the Tank's part, plus deceiving people) and the plot is far more dense and confusing than in other MGS game. I think it is even more dense than in MGS4. But I loved it. Refined gameplay, and if you could understand it, it had an incredible story. Plus a killer soundtracks.
Boss battles were a joke, though. Possibly the worst boss battles of all the MGS franchise.
