Well many dont mind renting of Sony via PSN Plus. So I dont really know what the issue is.

I for one will be more than happy with DRM and 24 hr checkin. As long as the family sharing stuff from MS stays in the package.

You're not REALLY attempting that argument are you?

PSN+ = $50 and you get "glorified rentals" for 1-year. This brings a minimum of 15-20 games throughout the course of the year, with it most likely being closer to 25-30 games at least. At 20 games you paid ~$2.25 per title, which is the cost of a 1-day RedBox rental, exept you get it for an entire 12-months. If you decide to drop the service and then 6 months later want to finish that game you download on it, just sign up for another month and ALL your games come back. Either way it is incredible value for your money.

Your Always Online DRM is $60 PER GAME for the same "glorified rental". With this you are paying for your game in the same exact way you do for retail, except you lose ALL the advantages. To me there really is no true added value @ that price point. Now, if digital games with this DRM cost $25-$30 at launch...

You can't even begin to attempt to compare the two.

But hey, if you're fine and don't care about the products you purchase with your hard earned money actually holding any real value, then more power to you.

Me? My opinion on the whole situation is that following that and being okay with it is the same as me being totally wreckless with my money.

Doesnt matter its still a rental service. No matter which way you look at it.

But I really want to move to all digital. Its benefits are much better. Except used game sales.

$2.00 rental or $60 rental.

See the problem here?

Yes, digital does have advantages, but none of them are worth it if they think they should still get $60 for a game.
