Guys, I'd ignore Lucas-Rio. Judging by his language and his reasoning he is here to flame and attempt to provoke exactly the kind of fuss he is getting. Let him lie under his bridge.
The comment from Konno about F Zero is quite pleasing, though given Mario Kart 8 will release sometime in the first half of next year, I would assume any F Zero game would be around 2016. Still, one can dream. I think Mario Kart 8 looks excellent.
