There would be a power issue if it Beyond Good and Evil 2 came out on current gen platforms. So their could be some issues if the game was being developed on the Wii U because we don't know if it's powerful enough to handle the game. That's what I got from it. |
Like I said in my previous post, it's a very large assumption people are making based not on the facts, but on speculation that tech geeks on the internet, most of which have a hard-on against Nintendo consoles, have made.
The facts are that Wii U, while having an underclocked CPU, has a perfectly fine GPU, and substantially more RAM than the PS3 or 360. That last bit right there is the most important element. The gap between Wii U and PS4 power is significantly smaller this gen than it was between Wii and PS3. That is a fact. With Wii U it's a matter of scalability, whereas with Wii it was often a matter of companies just not wanting to build a wholly different version for Wii. That will not have to be the case nearly as much, if at all, with Wii U. For all this talk about how "weak" and "last gen" Wii U's tech is, honestly, it's a bunch of bullshit.
The system could stand to be more powerful, sure. But it's also powerful enough to keep up.
