Asked about this in the Official AC thread, but decided to give it it's own thread as I feel it's a significant enough issue, well it is to me anyway. Anywho, I had been looking over some pictures I had taken of my town from when I first got the game. In particular, I was checking out pictures of my house while it was a tent. Then when I went back to my game, that's when I noticed it. Less grass, more dirt around my house in comparison to the pictures. Infact, there are a lot of dirt splotches, some small some big, all over my town. This leads me to believe that my grass is dying slowly but surely. I'm big on visual asthetics, so the ugly splotches alone are enough to grind my gears. What really worries me it what my town will look like if every bit of grass dies. A wasteland is not at all what I'm going for. Maybe I shouldn't be concerned too much as it has no impact on gameplay... or does it? Perhaps having a good amount of grass is one of the requirements to having a perfect town, something I'd like to achieve. Regardless, I just don't understand this. I've never heard about this before, and the game itself hasn't said anything about this, leading me to believe this could be some kind of glitch.
So now for the many questions...
Is this happening to anyone else? If it's not, I swear to you I'm not making this up, since why would I? I have nothing to gain from this, and Nintendo already took my money so they're the real winners regardless.
Why is this happening? Is it a glitch? Is it some feature Nintendo threw in that serves no purpose other than to troll? I needs answers! D:
