I think it was a bad move. Hope in Nintendo is at an all-time low, and E3 was the time to assuage our fears. I'm all about Nintendo and I was extremely upset. I still am, in fact. Until some announcement blows my Nintendo love is significantly lower, and I think a lot of people feel the same way. If there's ever been a time to hold off on announcements, this wasn't it.

Why bother revealing a bunch of games they won't be getting until 2014 or even 2015 in some cases? Makes zero sense. They showed what's coming soon, as well as SB and Mario Kart which will be coming next year (and Bayonetta 2 of course....and they previously showed Yarn Yoshi which is also assumedly coming next year).

Because of the exact reason I said--faith in Nintendo is at an all-time low.  Even if a game isn't coming until 2014 or 2015, knowing about it would still give us hope and a reason to pick up the system.  Hell, Nintendo is famous for announcing games and not releasing them until 2+ years later, so why would they stop doing that now?  It makes me feel like they don't really have a lot of games lined up, to be honest.

They said a while back that they dont like revealing games too soon anymore, back when 3DS was announced in 2010 they showed off Kid Icarus and Luigis Mansion and people got pissed they werent in the launch window. So it seems like there sticking to announcing games 6-12 months before release.
