I think Sony will steamroll them with price and exclusives and Sony will match MS for every price cut before the end like they did with the PS2. No matter what MS did they were always behind Sony. Microsoft will be buying up a lot of third party real estate this gen to measure up. Their Blacktusk shooter might work on the Americans though. Sony will hit gamers with a barrage of games like they always do. I've noticed with Sonys mentality its not about having an amazing hit which MS does, its about offering great content across the board and profiting off of all of them, ensuring sequels.

As great as that sounds, that strategy doesn't work really well in the Americas, where the big names matter most. MS has to release 1 Halo for every 3 Sony game to compete. I know it sucks to say but it's just true.

Well..if you add up the development cost of Halo its probably the price of one mid tier Sony game and two high profile exclusives. Makes sense in the end, but Sony has a lot of high profile games and the list is just growing even more now that MS forced them to not depend upon third parties. People think thats exploited Sony, but its only really made them more powerful. Uncharted, GT and GOW offeset a lot of those sales and that money all goes back to first party. MS only Collects off of Halo, Forza and Fable so if you think about it, its about even with Sony gaining the slight edge on sales consistency with GT.
