| Arius Dion said: My thing is this, is the Wii U an evolution of the Wii? Or an abandonment of it? The Gamepad does not resonate with the market as the Wii Mote has. It also brings the price of the system up $100 or more, during an economy in the shitter I might add. Off-TV play may be of convenience to you, but to many others they probably have no use for that, or at least aren't willing to spend the money in order to have that option. In other words, I doubt if the GP was sold as a peripheral it would see Wii Fit like success..do any of you think it would? I think Nintendo would be in a better position if they just fixed the few issues Wii had and continued on that path as opposed to doing what they are doing now. They abandoned their most successful console ever, and probably the most lucrative console ever made, for what? Third Party acceptance & appeasement? They didn't even get that. |
They didn't abandon the wii mote. It is still an option. Maybe they could improve on it and they still can. What I don't get is how people are complanning about the cost the pad adds to the system on one hand, then on the other hand complain that Nintendo is too cheap.
Also, the pad brings much more than just off tv play. The added cost is worth every penny.
