If the box had something that the more casual users wanted and at a sensible price... then maybe. At $500 with what its currently got... don't think so.

You could call the Wii-u the perfect machine for casuals... a second screen, nintendo of the amazingly successful wii... could not do it at their price, what makes you think the Xbox at $500 is going to do it?

So what? Really want to start arguing which machine is the best for the price? I don't think this will be very constructive.
Microsoft has a plan and are actively targeting these markets... The PS4 is not; like it or not; the Xbox One has been designed to be that all in one box. The fact that you think the PS4 is enough for that will not change what Microsoft is doing and what the perception will be when they start their marketing machine for real.

So no, I do not think a WiiU or a PS4 can be compared to the Xbox One in term of offering and I'm not talking about the price... But if the price is the only thing to consider or if you just do not find any additional values in Microsoft's next console; then our opinions are just different :)

And while I know what you mean by what MS is doing. I just think they have a vision but are so far ahead with that vision and where they are looking that it might hurt them in a bad way at the begining. Of course Ic ould eb wrong and you are right as of right now MS offers WAY more than the PS4 or Wii U but they have to convince the consumers that what they offer if worth the current price AND worth paying for on top of their other services.

If they pull it off then they will blow both Sony and Nin out of the water because an all in one box will be ideal. So time will tell what happens! Hopefully it works out for the best though!
