The debate of which game is 'better' will never be resolved, because it's all opinion. Gears has tight, tactical, close-quarters combat vs large-scale tactical battles in Resistance (although, this could get shaken up a bit if the 200-locust tech demo is any hint).
I personally greatly preferred Gears 1, and found Resistance to be bland. But that is my opinion, and it doesn't determine which is a better game. (I am looking forward to at least trying R2 btw, because it seems better)
Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
