It is kinda hard to feel sorry for what sounds like a street thug.

I also have a hard time finding something good to say about Martin.  From what the trial is showing, he wasn't an angel.  Then again, neither was Zimmerman.  There wasn't a good guy and bad guy.  Personality isn't on trial, though.  The only thing that should matter is whether or not a crime was committed.
