| papamudd said: @zarx: can you post some links for me? I'd like to look at those I've heard chatter but not seen personally... But if we will see games looking like such comparable tech demos next gen is looking all the sweeter on MS/Sony consoles! I only watched the MS and Sony conferences with any attention span really. While the topic says games I don't mind people posting tech demos from e3 showing next gen graphical capability for a reference point or comparison as it only makes me more excited about next gen. Honestly before e3 I wasn't sure there would be much distinguishable difference in graphics as early tech reports didn't have better hardware than my mid range pc. (6 months to a year ago tech reports) I didn't see witcher 3 during e3, but from what I've seen since puts it in my top 10 or top 5. MGS V was less impressive to me than Forza and PS4 AAA non racing games. Still great graphics, but Infamous second son more impressive to me due to populated world and capabilities of player interaction with it... now if MGS V was in a populated area with destruction I'd be more impressed... but a sandbox in an arid environment not so much... to me it was the base graphics to be expected next gen. |
MGS V will look better in it's final form the E3 footage was just the current assets running on PC 1080p 60fps. Aparently they haven't done the next gen improvements such as tesselation etc.
It's a pity Nvidia haven't released direct feed footage of the Witcher 3 tech demonstration from behind closed doors http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SpPqXdzl7g The Witcher 3 does look amazing, tho I think it would look better without the shapen filter.
Here is Infiltrator (was shown again behind closed doors, they also had an updated version of the Elemental demo on Oculus rift which was apparently pretty amazing) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dO2rM-l-vdQ alternatively if you want to watch it without the shitty youtube compression ruining the image quality you can download it from here http://www.gamersyde.com/news_13934_en.html.
Deep Down https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWIS8x0Sjg8 this one might actually end up as a game http://www.gamersyde.com/news_deep_down_trailer-13824_en.html
