The Ninja Gaiden Sigma games. I thought the first game was cool for about 15 minutes before my ass got wrecked, then lost interest in the game. I showed it to my friend (who is a total completionist and is known to redo the same part in a game for several hours if necessary) and we ended up beating the first one in 2-3 days. Then we got the second one and beat it, and then beat both games on hard. I really enjoyed the games when I wasn't the only one getting my ass kicked. To anyone looking for an extremely challenging franchise, i highly recommend it. Just don't bother with the third one. It is one of the worst games of all time.
