I'd love to make some official emulator threads, but it's a touchy subject and needs to be handled right.

Yeah, I know. I hope that a disclaimer on the top (No support for piracy, no links to rom sites, prepare to get reported if you do) will be sufficent. Would be a shame if the thread failed for such reasons.
