Two of our three chances to stick it to the hardcore turned out to be busts.

Who gives a crap about the hardcore gamer? I want quality games of a wide variety of sorts, and when it comes to games comparable to that Zelda demo, I'm confident we're going to get it, from games like Watch Dogs, X, etc. Meanwhile, as great as a new Mario in the vein of Galaxy would be, this isn't the right time for Nintendo to release such a game. Right now, they need to focus more on the mainstream, who prefer the 3D Land style over the classic 3D Mario games - add in multiplayer and Miiverse, and it's going to be a strong game. DKC:TF isn't a big deal to me, but it's looking very classy at this point. And Wind Waker HD is like OoT3D, in that it's going to be a great game made better by fixing some of its flaws.

And there's no way that, once I get a Wii U (and I've been wanting to get one for a while, but haven't had the money), I'll skip over top-notch games, just to try to scare Nintendo into doing what the hardcore want.

Meanwhile, do you honestly think that Nintendo would just make another Wind Waker type Zelda after Wind Waker HD? Of course not. Nintendo isn't going to waste their opportunity with the new Zelda by making it similar to a Zelda already remade on the system. We MAY get something graphically similar to Skyward Sword (but HD quality), but that's fine with me. When it comes down to it, I trust Nintendo to make Zelda one of the greatest games of the generation, irrespective of the graphical style.

And once again, screw the hardcore gamer. Give me quality gaming over quality graphics anyday.
