Yeah, I didn't know how to classify trials evolution. However, I do have a problem with people trying to say games like uncharted and tthe last of us are shooters. There's shooting involved sure, but there's shooting in a lot of games. Tbe object of tbe game is adventure with a heavy dose of shooting action.
I also hate everyone trying to call every game ever "action/adventure" when trying to defend xbox for their relative lack of variety. There's a huge difference between comparing halo and gears of war since 95% of those games consistst of running from room to room shooting things. The only difference is the perspective of the camera. Huge difference than comparing uncharted, which has platforming, puzzles, and exploration in addition to the shooting, to metal gear solid, which has rpg elements and mostly stealth, and actively discourages shooting.
The genre debates are starting to really irritate me.
