Wii U is this gen's Sega 32X. If Sega had made 32X a console (they actually had it planned but canceled it), it would have been pretty similar to what Wii U is to the 7th gen. Is the 32X considered part of the same gen as the Saturn, PlayStation and N64? Nope.
