If Sony didnt leave its mark on gaming the industry wouldnt be as large as it is today and Microsoft wouldn't be in gaming. Nintendo would've eventually overpowered Sega and ruled a limited gaming community, which has grown exponentially since Sony arrived. I think Sony earned Nintendos respect a long time ago. This even even more so.
