I agree with you. Nintendo is really milking the mario franchise now.
- Low production value. This game could have been made on Wii just in 480p instead of 720p. Galaxy have better textures variety and Wow factor. This game really looks like a mario land 3D HD. Even Luigi's mansion 2 on 3DS looks more stunning and detailed.
- Rely on too much generic and already seen game mechanics.
We can see this statistical trend also with recent metacritic of mario games.
It is called decline.
But I am sure it will still be a 75/80 metacritic fun game.
But we were all waiting for a 97 metacritic galaxy game, hence our despair!
