The reason we are attracted to attractive people is because those people tend to have better genes. It's simple evolutionary pressures. It's not because we are evil or sinful or anything like that. On a physical level, we are unconsciously attracted to people that will produce healthy offspring. In a relationship, we chose a partner that will make ourselves happy, because we are by nature selfish.
