For a western IP it is an amazing achievement.    If TLoU was created instead by Sony Japan or Capcom, it would have sold 500K-1M 1st week.

Indeed. I do hate how irrational japanese can be sometimes just cause of nationality.

we arent all that different. if it werent for Japan starting console gaming (after the crash) we probs wouldnt care for there games. look at 99% of gamers who started gaming this gen. All of my mates started gaming this gen and the only Japanese games they have ever played are Mario or the Wii series
