Okay now we are back to reality. The Vita was supposed to be a decent competition to the 3DS but Sony fumbled. They should have put better studios or more effort into it at the start. They basically hoped 3rd parties would carry it (just like Nintendo hoped 3rd parties would fill in the empty slots for the 3DS and soon to be Wii U). Sure there are great games on Vita and more coming in future. However, Sony had multiple mistakes when dealing with the Vita. There is still a lot of potential there and I expect at least 30m+ sales lifetime. I actually expected more at the start considering the PSP has sold so well and is still continuing to sell pretty decently in some markets. Sony dropped the ball on the Vita but the game isn't over. The system isn't doomed but it will forever live in the shadow of the PSP. I still expect Sony to release another hand held probably around 2016-17 or so. Nintendo is probably gearing up for a release by then. I give credit where credit is due. Sony has been the best competitor for Nintendo in the hand held department. Sega couldn't even dent Nintendo's dominance (I even had a Game Gear back in the day). Sometimes I don't like seeing competitors doing good but reality is that you need strong competition or the dominant player gets lazy.
