I mean, take Mario Kart; it's the very definition of a system seller. Zelda's a bit like Metroid, albeit to a much lesser extent, in that it's seen as an important franchise for Nintendo, while in reality, it's not that big a big seller at all. |
I was counting Mario Kart in with the Mario IP. If you wanted to seperate them, then Mario Kart is above everything including Pokemon. Animal Crossing Wild World outsold every SSB game and New Leaf will likely do the same. Since SSB4 will have 2 versions and its first HH, it will make things more clear. I'd bet that AC New Leaf, and ACU will outsell SSBU & SSB3D. Wii Series hasn't had enough time to say. First off, its exclusive to their home systems. Also, we have yet to see if the series success will carry over to Wii U. I think it'll be successful but not nearly as big as before. Donkey Kong? AC is definitely past that one.
I think Zelda is still a big seller. It matches sales of Uncharted for the most part. It's just that compared to Nintendo's massive sellers, it looks smaller.

I was talking more overall. I guess we can seperate them though. I'll make a new thread about it :)
