No, no... the Vita cant become just a PS4 peripheral Sony. That will not save it. No one in their right mind buys a 200+ controller. It needs games, and it needs to not be given up on or you lose customer trust.

Sony can't do anything with Vita, the thing is doomed as developers simply WONT develop for it. That's not a choice that Sony has to make. The Vita sold like crap so what you get as a result is "no support from third parties"

Sony sees what its doing with PS4-Vita compatibily as the only solution to make the handheld sell. Games and third party support will come later when the instal base grows.

For $200, you're not buying a controller, you're making your PS4 a portable device! It's a revolutionary idea if its done properly.

You are mistaken. The system has alot of support in Japan. Its the west that is not well supported. It has alot of indie games, but they need to localise those japanese games. As many as possible. Notice this is the same as the 3DS. Nintendo simply develops more first party titles for it than Sony and they are helping localising/publishing more Japanese titles over.

The system isnt without games aswell. It just recently (last week or 2) got epic mickey with its own controls scheme, Jak collection and moto GP 13. Its a good system and it has good games, but they need to be brought over and Sony needs to keep developing a trio of high profile games per year. Theres more games coming later this year like Ys celceta, Toukiden, Killzone M, Tearaway and more. It is not dead in the water, but it needs more and continued support.

What i say no to, is to re-marketing as the PS4 controller. I know they want that out there as its a major point for them, but it does not replace the main functions of a games console. Sony needs to keep going at it and ignore stupid analysts like pachter saying the thing is dead. If Sony abandons the Vita, they will lose alot of consumer trust. They certainly lose every chance of ever getting back into that market.

But, i also understand that Shuhei is a japanese. This message is mainly for that market, wich is centric on portables. Buy a PS4 and a Vita and you can play your PS4 like its a portable. He is actually trying to sell the Vita and the PS4 on the japanese market. For the west, this makes little difference.
