The issue I see is I have different expectations with home consoles and handhelds. If a handheld is cutting edge on par with a console then I keep asking "why wouldn't I just get a console". Dragon's Crown looks amazing, but I am definitely getting it on PS3.
I loved the GameBoy Advance and it was a decade behind technologically, but I got my 2D sprite fix with great games like those Castlevania titles or Minish Cap. Nintendo gives me unique experience I don;t get as much on consoles, with the new Zelda on 3DS being my most anticipated game of the year despite fact it could have been done on the Gamecube.
