DQXI on 3DS is pretty much a lock, probably already well into development.
The lead platform in Japan gets the mainline DQ games, that's how it's always been, and nothing is catching the 3DS for the next few years minimum (if ever). And 3DS got DQ7 Remake, which is basically a tell tale sign that its the future of the next real DQ game as this is the same pattern for previous "chosen" DQ platforms.
