Meh couldn't care less really. As long as the XBO doesn't give me inferior multiplats like a lot of PS3 multiplats this gen then I am good to go. I doubt we won't see benefits on the PS4 if the extra power matters though. There were games on PS3 that looked and ran better on PS3 than 360 this gen. Portal and the Final Fantasy games come to mind, and that's despite the policy measure you highlighted.
Point .... if we see little to no difference on the PS4 version then I'm inclined to think it's not the policy at fault, but we'll see. It would be interesting to see if the PS4 is the lead platform this gen though.
Either way I plan on getting both so I'll get the 'definitive' version on whichever console. Poor Wii U lol
