@Kingofwhale: Well i wouldn't be so sure of that, when a game nears completion, they don't need as many resources. The final stage of development is mostly debugging and testing and tweaking and stuff. No major programming required anymore. It's very common to shift resources when a game enters the final stages of development.

And I wouldn't be surprised if that PS2 games will get canned, the PS2 is dying in Japan and that's their main source of income.
