There's a reason they don't sell very well at present. How many people are seriously going to opt to pay the same price for a digital copy that they are stuck with forever as a physical copy that they can actually own and sell if they don't like it? Not too fucking many.
The question isn't why would publishers put all their eggs into the digital basket. That's a false choice. The question is, if they want people to buy digitally because used games are so detrimental, why don't they try to make the proposition of buying digitally more appealing?
