Why would Pikmin 3 outsell Pikmin 1? Is the franchise any bigger now than it used to be? It skipped a generation and the Wii U isn't really in a healthy spot. Besides there are many games to steal Pikmin 3's parade this Holiday. |
I think Pikmin has grown more because more people seem to have tried Pikmin since 2004. Brawl, Nintendo Land, and the NPC games should help get its name recognized as well. Pikmin (1) did fine up against Luigi & Melee in 2001 so Pikmin 3 could compete a bit this Holiday. Plus, it will be the 1st big Wii U release since launch. Miyamoto seems to be very excited about the game too, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo actually decides to push it. Pikmin always got high reviews which should also help. All in all, I don't see why Pikmin 3 can't outsell the first 2.

It has unique Boss battles which involve more then just straight shooting, and many of Samus' power ups are just as silly as Mario or Links. The game is more closely comparable to a Zelda or Mario game then Halo. |
I was talking more about characters and feel of the game. Pikmin is very Nintendo IMO but I respect your opinion good sir.
