More evil has been done in the name of religion that anything except money. Religions are not all bad, but most fundamentalist ones are.  They keep back human rights, attack and hold back science, kill people in their name, etc.  Have you not heard about the dark ages or how they held back in the USA is on stem cell science because of a few ‘religious’ people in power a few years ago?

There are fundamentalists everywhere, you just prefer to point it out in religion. I prefer not to distinguish, fundamentalism exists everywhere.

I know what you mean and I know what you're talking about, I always like to remind everyone that fundamentalism is a human trait, not a religious one. So people not willing to sacrifice their ideas for the possibility of a truer one, that's human nature, and I had to point it out because the religious flavor of fundamentalists always seem to be the one pointed out first and I think that is wrong.

Perhaps because I have only had strong encounters with Fundamentalists Religious people -like trying to take away the rights of my cousins marriage.  Or the ones that are blocking research that could help my friend with Type 1 diabetes who is losing his eyesight because of having it for so many years.  And I have mostly seen it used by religious people as excuses to hurt/kill/take from others. 

But I think I get what you are saying, the people that are 'I'm right, you are wrong, you must die' people.  Those absolutes that lack an ability to see the grey area (which is pretty much everything.)   We never see them here at VGChartz (Whistles, looks around, and dogdes tomatoes.)

If I met a Furry Fundamentalist I might have a different opinion.  I wonder what they would be like?  For example: Must everyone where a squirrel outfit to go shopping for nuts?
