There are fundamentalists everywhere, you just prefer to point it out in religion. I prefer not to distinguish, fundamentalism exists everywhere.
I know what you mean and I know what you're talking about, I always like to remind everyone that fundamentalism is a human trait, not a religious one. So people not willing to sacrifice their ideas for the possibility of a truer one, that's human nature, and I had to point it out because the religious flavor of fundamentalists always seem to be the one pointed out first and I think that is wrong.
