I don't think that's true - from what I've seen, isn't Gogeta more powerful?

In the second Dragon Ball GT Perfect Files volume, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta is said to be dozens of times stronger than a regular Super Saiyan 4[1] (while Vegito was said to be in the league of a Super Saiyan 4 in the anime comics for Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy).[2]"
