My biggest fear related to that is that Nintendo canned a project that was quite advanced in development. Then maybe they took the DK project made by a side team to prepare a game as fast as possible. I would like to think that Retro are working on two projects but it has been too much time since the last game. I just hope I'm wrong on this one.

Exactly. I mean, DK Wii was developed really fast. 1 year or so. There's no way they need 3 years for a sequel that doesn't look so far from the past installment. And cancelling projects just show how incompetent they are as they are wasting resources given bad planification on reselase products.
