Sony knows how to deal with hardware lately. They can be the first in any new technology and have a great R&D team. A couple of years ago they were criticized that there announcements till release took to much time. But with their recent phones like the Xperia Z but also with their 55" and 65" 4K televisions they know how to get first with newer technologies. With that much experience in hardware they only need to get sofware right from the start which I think will happen.
