Some people don't seem to understand the difference between the terms "victory" and "win". "Win" is a competitive term - if one wins then the others don't. "Victory" needn't be competitive - one can be victorious by completing a difficult puzzle, for instance.

Nintendo had a victory with their E3 presentation. It didn't "win E3", it merely achieved to do what it set out to do, and avoided the pitfalls that it needed to avoid. That is a victory.
