There will not be a 4th generation of Xbox, I predict.
Microsoft will hold on to the Xbox One as long as they can, but ultimately, they will want to make a fusion out of tablets, Windows PCs and home consoles. It will all come down to software once again. Xbox will become a service. As well as PlayStation. Hardware won't matter in the future.
The only way of that not happening is Microsoft admitting that they totally failed in the mobile market. But I doubt they will do that. They will just continue to throw money at it, hoping that Android and/or iOS become irrelevant sometime by some miracle.
