It isn't for me, but I think it is for a lot of people. The original DKC games were massively popular and lots bought the new one.
I think a bit of the issue that Wii U may have is what worked for Wii may not work for Wii U. So many people skipped the Gamecube days that people were itching for some classic Nintendo action on Wii. There was massive built up demand for Marios and DK's and Mariokarts. I'm not sure that the same hunger is there now. People will still buy them and love them, but a fresh new experience would do better to move the system than classic titles.
That said, I think WWHD, DKC and SM3DW should give Wii U a strong lineup and a good Christmas season, especially with Pikmin and NSMBU alrady out. If Wii Party and Wii Fit U are able to catch attention then it will a very big year, but that is more doubtful.
