i gues if you dont like games like God Of War or Ninja Gaiden or Devil May ry it wont appeal to you.

 

But to those that do it has the potential to be so much better than those. 

1. Over 100 more execution animations than God Of War 3.

2. The ability to move the camera 360 degrees instead of fixedd like Ninja Gaiden and God Of War.

3. Much better visuals than the previous genres games.

4. Immersion. Better animations. Etc

Are you really comparing it to Devil May Cry? Because is not even on the same league in gameplay I don't think the Ryse main character can even jump. You have to admit that it is a QTE fest so far.

I  think you should do some research. 

QTE's are entirely optionl like God Of War.

 

Also Devil May Cry has been crap for years.

Ninja Gaiden 2, God of War 3 and the late Ninja Blade are all better than any DMC this gen.

Ryse executions are optional. 100% confirmed.
