Donkey Kong has not been a console seller since his SNES days IMO but thats only because he had not had a proper game since the N64 only spin offs, i mean come on the Wii version of DK Returns sold more then some other games that people would consider unit movers. So i can see him moving quite a few Wii Us once he hits stores
Very smart of Nintendo do push a new Donkey Kong game from Retro Studios then a new Metriod from a business standpoint.
