Used games create more money to be spent on games. Its removal will only result in less games being purchased/played and thus actually lower revenue for devs/publishers. Its the same reason used products exist in every other market and have for.. well ever. |
they don't really create more money. if i sell you my used game for 20 bucks, i have 20 more but you have 20 less to spend on a new game. if i do that three times with you, i can buy a new game but you can buy one new game less.
but that wouldn't be the problem, the problem is as example gamestop who will pay you 15 and sell the same game for 40. the people who buy the games for 40 bucks would probably also buy them new for 55 but they see no reason for it because the used game will look exactly the same on their tv screen.
other used markets are not comparable since there is a big idfference in a used and a new product for those.
have to sleep now so i won't answer if you quote me, sry.
