The reason Battlefield 3 was such a success is because it was a sequel to Battlefield 2 which was huge at the time.
People were waiting years for a sequel. BF4 doesn't really seem like much of an upgrade to BF3. I wouldn't be surprised if it went back to doing Bad Company numbers.
Battlefield isn't the mega blockbuster franchise that Call of Duty is.
