But gears 3 sold almost all of its units at full price where as  Uncharted 3 was heavily discounted and bundled. Making money is the "most definitive way of defining quality and success of a game". Gears of war 3 destroyed uncharted 3 in this respect.

I bet you have no idea, so until you do this it the only way we can gauge things. This is a far better way of doing things then making guesses, which is all you can do outside of actual numbers.

Guesses? It doesn't take a genius to work out that a game costing $60 makes more than a game costing $40 or less and also being given away for next to nothing (bundled).

2 things you have to factor is is that Sony owns ND so they make the money back on publisher fees and dev cuts, M$ doesnt own Epic so they only make money from the publishing. How do you factor these costs into your guesses?

Doesn't change the fact that Gears of war 3 has generated more money, i couldn't care less who the money goes to the fact remains.
