As for military personnel playing consoles: the defense given is that PS3/PS4 won’t be allowed on DoD networks. So the whole issue of military members switching to the PlayStation while on deployment is a non-issue. Scroll down in the comments on that thread, and you’ll find military personnel who agree – but state that they can still play offline. Also, how would that inspired a switch to the Xbox One, since it needs to be online?

How could having an always-on-always-listening-always-watching-and-probable-hacker's-primary-future-target-device in the army be a good thing ?

It's been said again and again that you can control Kinect so it isn't always listening or always watching.

@ the bolded: As opposed to what? Every other internet connected device ever made? Not to mention if they have the Xbox connected to an armed forces internet network (which they would if they are on a base), then I'd say good luck to any hacker that tries that.

Backdoor collect informations from internal connection, than send it when on global net.

Same for others console for that, of course, but I still feel like they are thousands of way to use kinect (but that's probably cause every hardware specialised guy in my school does crazy stuff with kinect (like hand driven drone))
