I agree - keep the amazon threads going..... lol
An issue that Microsoft might not have thought of is the people who purchased the 4gb console (# 53 in '13, #46 in '12 amazon) as opposed to the more expensive one with Kinect or bigger harddrive. While Gamestop probably sells more of the higher priced model due to core games, I would venture to say places like Walmart and Target sell the cheaper model more readily.
Some parents will just buy a cheaper console and will not pay over $300 for one no matter how much a kid cries and moans. And now they have to shell out $500 for a console just to play Halo and Gears of War. Some will just tell their kids, well I can get you a PS4 if you are ok with me buying you COD or Battlefield. To some people they will just see the price difference and say, well, I already have a cable box, regardless of what other features it might have. Not to mention the negative articles around E3
Ultimately, Halo will be the difference. PS4 will definitely have the upper hand outside of the US by a 2 to 1 margin in all likelihood. In the US they will have a slight advantage. Forza and DR3 aren't going to make the difference in year one. New IPs will not drive sales initially especially when some will not release until later. When Halo comes out I think we will know whether or not XBone will stay in second or take over 1st.
