I guess what I don't get is what other than the family sharing thing is going to make the XBOne digital offerings so different from the PS4's? I mean every single game that releases on PSVita is also available digitally day one if you prefer to purchase it that way, and on the PS3 digital copies have DRM to keep people from passing them to everyone ever and instead only allow you to put the game on one other system. Therefore I'd assume that the PS4 will have every new game available at launch for purchase digitally. Often these digital copies are a tiny bit cheaper than the retail as well.
The difference is that PS4 will give you the choice of whether you want a digital copy or a retail one, whereas for the XBOne they've made it so there really isn't any difference between the two.
OT: Be a bit sad about it because I like Sony more, but as long as Sony continues to make consoles and games I can't be too sad if the rest of the industry goes another way.
